Info Pager System

The Info Pager

  • The InfoPager receives a signal from other pagers, emergency alarms and sensors. The message on the digital display of the InfoPager advises the contact of the nature and location of the emergency.
  • In a residential home each staff member or carer can have their own pager. Where a system is required to cover multiple rooms or buildings, additional radio repeater units may be required to extend the range of the InfoPager.
  • Assistance Alarm/Staff Attack Alarm can be activated by pressing and holding the OK button for 3 seconds until the text ‘Assistance alarm’ is shown. The alarm will now be sent to all other InfoPager units in the coverage area.
Typical Application: All Staff within a care home environment, especially those prone to being attacked.

Door Sensor

  • This sensor is intended to be used with the InfoPager to detect the opening of a door.
  • The basic function of the sensor is to transmit a radio signal when a door opens. The sensor consists of two parts, the main unit and the magnet. The main unit is normally attached to the door and the magnet to the door frame. When the door opens the magnetic field disappears and consequently the main unit will transmit the radio signal to the InfoPager.
  • The sensor is powered by 2 standard AAA alkaline batteries. The batteries can easily be replaced which is important in environments where the door opens frequently. When the battery is low a battery weak signal is sent to the alarm receiver.
  • The sensor uses the EU recommended frequency dedicated for social alarms. This means that there is a very small chance for interfering sources. The Door Sensor also complies with all European requirements for LVD, EMC and R&TTE directives.
Typical Application: All residents who are prone to wandering.

Locator Detector

  • The Locator Sensor is intended to be used together with the InfoPager.
  • If the InfoPager’s Alarm is activated a signal is sent to the Locator Detector to provide a location to the other Staff members on their InfoPager’s.
  • The IR locator detector uses the EU recommended frequency (869.2 MHz) dedicated for social alarms. This means that there is a very small chance of interfering sources. That is not the case for triggers using 433 and 868 MHz frequencies. PIR complies with all European requirements for LVD, EMC and R&TTE directives.
Typical Application: All Staff within a care home environment, especially those prone to being attacked.
